Dragon Jeans
Jeans made of denim or other fabrics have been regularly featuring the dragon motif in one form or the other. And, the various companies have either tattooed or printed or embroidered this motif on the jeans at different places and in different styles. However, the latest craze is about the dragon jeans brought out by the label Yoropiko, a famous luxury label launched by designer Martin Yat Ming in 2007.
Some of the notable features of this pair of jeans are:
• Reminds us of the old ‘vintage art’ days. The vintage raw selvedged denim fabric has been used rather that the modern day soft and washed denim.
• Just as other products under the label of Yoropiko, these jeans too have distinguishable gold and jewel studded buttons. Also, there is 18 carat gold-rhodium plated detachable copper waistband.
• One loop has been embroidered with gold metal thread.
• The dragon featured on the front and back is embroidered with great finesse.
• The back also has an embroidered logo made on the piece of black velvet.
The motif has been around for years and is a reflection of the growing influence of the Chinese culture in the world. The dragon is symbolic of China and the clothing brands use it to promote their products.
